Miramichi Outdoor Parks and Recreation Master Plan

The city of Miramichi has engaged a consultant team, Glenn Group Ltd. Landscape Architects along with Urban Planners from Stantec, to prepare an Outdoor Parks and Recreation Master Plan. The objective of this study is to assess the quantity, quality and distribution of the current outdoor parks and recreation facilities and make recommendations to follow for the future development of these important community spaces.

An extensive and important part of this study includes consultation with stakeholders and the public. This consultation will allow the City to better understand the public’s perception of their current outdoor parks and recreation facility inventory and develop a plan that best serves the residents of Miramichi. The City wants to hear from its residents and needs your input in helping to meet the needs of the community. It is the goal of the city to develop a plan for the next 5-10 years which serves residents- improving our current parks and recreation facilities, introducing new facilities and consolidating resources where required.
